Maya's Review
This story drew my attention because I could identify with Julia
Hayes. I have been that career girl working in a corporate environment trying
to juggle achieving my career goals with life and love.
The author writes this story sympathetically and it is easy to
picture the scenes and environment where Julia worked. Also anyone who has
worked in such an environment will recognise a busload of management jargons
thrown in for good measure.
The pacing in the story varies from slow and detailed to fast-moving
at various points. There are sweet moments as well as moments that evoke strong
emotions.
All-in-all, I enjoyed this book. If you're a fan of Bridget Jones'
Diary, then you'll enjoy this book. Would I recommend this? Yes.
