#InTheHotSeat Parker Abbot from Engaging The Enemy @ReeseRyanWrites #BookRelease

Welcome back to Hot Seat. 💗😍

We're excited to have Parker Abbott from Engaging The Enemy on the blog today taking the hot seat. Make yourselves comfortable for this exciting interview.

Welcome to our blog, Parker. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Every year since I’ve become the Chief Financial Officer at my family’s world-renowned distillery, our profits have increased. But my greatest achievement is yet to come, because I’m determined to become the next CEO of King’s Finest Distillery.

What is your most treasured possession?

My prize possession is my Octo Finissimo Bulgari watch with a clear dial which displays the mechanical interior skeleton. Though it’s an insanely expensive piece, that’s not what I value about it most. I picked it up at a seizure auction, so I got it for a steal. It’s both beautiful and a great investment.

What is your most marked characteristic?

I wear glasses seventy-five percent of the time. Quite frankly, I’m a little miffed that I’m not wearing my glasses on the book cover.

What is your greatest regret?

My greatest regret is inadvertently betraying my best friend’s confidence as a young teen and not understanding how devastating my actions were to her.

What is the quality you most like in a partner?

I’m a straightforward kind of guy who isn’t the best at reading between the lines. So I value someone who is sincere and unambiguous. Who says exactly what they mean rather than hinting around. And who won’t be offended when I do the same.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

I’m a no-nonsense kind of guy, for which I don’t apologize. While I value that about myself, I realize that my direct approach can sometimes rub people the wrong way. I regret that my candor can give the impression that I’m an unfeeling a**hole. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I feel things far more deeply than people believe.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?

Dishonesty. It’s the reason it took some time for me to warm up to my sister-in-law, Savannah Carlisle. She didn’t lie to us when she came to work at King’s Finest, but she didn’t tell us the whole truth either.

What do you most value in your friends?

People who don’t take my brusque, direct nature personally.

On what occasions do you lie?

I try to always tell it like it is, which is why I have the feeling that this fake engagement experiment I let Kayleigh rope me into is going to end very badly.

Thank you so much to Parker and Reese Ryan for indulging us. We look forward to reading your story.
