Blurb: The Swan Cove Murders
As if the violent murder of Lena
Dixon’s fiancé hadn’t been bad enough, now his brother, Nicholas Hunter, is
court ordered to live with her for the next thirty days. And to top it off, the
murderer’s ghost is asserting his innocence and refuses to leave until Lena and
Nicholas prove it.
The skeptic in Nicholas believes Lena
has lost her mind until he witnesses some unexplainable events and is forced to
believe in her psychic abilities and his heart’s desire.
As their sexual chemistry heats up,
so do their guilt levels. Can they make their newfound relationship work, or
will it be too late when the real killer comes calling for her?
Kay's Review
There are so
many elements I enjoy in a romance. When conflict is written well with touches
of suspense, it keeps you turning the pages of a book like an addict wanting more.
This book seems to have worked this formula well.
Start with a
woman, Lena, whose spouse, Earl, has just died. Add an ex, Nicholas, who
happens to be the brother to the dead guy and who feels spited because Lena
chose his brother over him. Thrown in complications with the will and a murder
mystery and you have conflict by the bucket load.
It was
obvious Lena and Nicky cared about each other. But they spent so much time
fighting. There were moments when I felt like locking the two of them up in a
room so they can talk. I was glad when the judge ordered them to live together.
It was only then that the two of them started getting romantic.
Overall,
this is an enjoyable read. The mystery is wrapped up neatly and we get to find
out 'whodunit.' If you enjoy romantic suspense with a touch of the paranormal,
then you'll enjoy this.
