Finding You - Book one in The Bad Boy Series.

'I will always take care of you'

My pain started when I was just ten years old, it was the day my mom got that dreaded phone call. Life has never been the same....

'I will always protect you'

I am all kinds of broken....

I have known Logan White since forever, he is my brothers best friend and my secret protector. I used to have nightmares that drew me into a dark place and when the nightmares got too much, Logan was by my side. The nightmares are few and far between now, but my life is centered around the tragedy of my past.

Logan is the definition of 'man whore', with girls lining around the block to drop their panties at the click of his fingers. But after an unexpected moment things change. Now Logan is somebody else; hot, sexy and so damn delicious and I want to know him. Desperately.

But then there is Angel Walker who is far from the angelic nature of his name, with eyes so hypnotic that I lose my inhabitation’s just by staring into them. But he is a broken man who just screams sin. He doesn't want to protect me or care for me, He just wants me.

Do I want the man who can cut through all of my pain or the man who could cause me more?

Fists will fly, hearts will shatter and desire will be fueled.

Finding Me, Book 2 in the Bad Boys Series
The lines are blurred between what is real and what isn't, the darkness that was once a place I feared was now a place of safety. If I stayed in the darkness, the hellish reality of what was truly happening no longer seemed real.

But I was about to be pulled out from under the consuming blanket of dark shadows, and plunged into the murky depths of my past. I was about to be shown my demons and all it's evil sides, all of it's pain and grief. I could only hope I survive it.

What happens when the world you once knew crumbles and falls at your feet?
Who will find me? Who will save me from my demons?
My dark prince or my white knight...
And will I find myself in the process.

Maya's Review
So this is another 2-in-1 book review where I review 2 books in the same series following the same characters. Both books follow the antics of Neva, Logan and Angel.

This is the second books series I'm reading in less than a few weeks apart that involve love triangles and the third one in less than a month. And they all seem to involve new adult characters between 18 to 25 years old. The spate of similar stories seems to indicate there's a kind of epidemic going on among our young adults. The eat-your-cake-and-have-it syndrome.

So you have Neva who suffers from post traumatic stress disorder because of the death of her father. Logan who is her brother's best friend has been in her life since forever and has taken on the role of her protector in her mind. Logan is a playboy and Neva doesn't really take an interest in him until things suddenly change between them

Along comes Angel who is all shades of sin and offers the kind of escapism Neva thinks she's looking for since he seems to be as damaged as she is. But two damaged people together can't be a good thing, right?
Well, if you read Finding You, you'll know it ends on a cliff-hanger and I'm not a big fan of those. Luckily I had Finding Me to dive into straight away and I'm glad I did.

The start of Finding Me just took my breath away and for several pages all I could do was read...read...read. Seriously. The journey back together for Logan and Neva was heart-wrenching at times. But I was glad when they finally got their happy ending.

Both books are enjoyable reads and I'm happy with the way the author wrote about PTSD sympathetically. Seriously, if you enjoy new adult romance, then you have to read this series. But perhaps buy two of them together instead of having to wait.
