First of all, thank you to everyone who participated in March's Book of the Month challenge. I know some of the books pulled you out of your comfort zones with the menage/love triangle theme. It is great that you all persevered and finished the books. So thanks again.

Congratulations to all the winners!

If you completed any of the above challenges and I don't have your name listed above please make sure you add the book review link to the March Reading Challenge post and identify your name, book title and location.

Now on to April's reading challenge Book (s) of the Month.

In honour of #LGBTApril the books on here will have LBGT themes. Please note that you do not have to read any of the titles. As always you can select your own books for the reading challenge. Here are some books you might want to consider reading:

Feel free to select any one of these books or pick your own. If you know a great LGBT book, you're welcome to recommend it to the group.

At the end of April the Yellow BOTM award will go to people who read any of the above books or any other LGBT titles. We will revisit the 3 northern hemisphere continents and issue awards to anybody we've missed for Asia, North America and Europe.

Happy Reading!

  1. Not solely an LGBT book, but I already had The Prophet Murders (by Mehmet Murat Somer) on my list for this month for Turkey. It centres around a trans detective trying to solve a series of murders involving transvestite victims in Istanbul. I figure it fits the bill to some extent and lets me check another country off my list without repeating one of those I have already done! Would it be ok?
Here's the wikipedia article about the book, FYI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prophet_Murders

  2. I was blindsided by the whole Europe thing. I didn't know a continent had been included. What is the continent for this month? We can read any book we want?

    1. Hi Nana, you can pick an LGBT-themed book not listed above and it will still count as the book of the month.
Or you can read any book you like towards your 80 reading challenge books total. It's up to you. :)

  3. I did read The Wise Woman in March and did a link on the March post, but my name doesn't show here as completing that challenge.
Also, the link for this month to add books isn't showing properly.
